Pakistan Violated Ceasefire: After the 48-hour ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the situation has worsened again. On Friday night, Pakistan carried out air strikes on the Argun and Barmal districts of the Paktika province of Afghanistan. The Taliban administration alleges that this attack was carried out near the Durand Line and Pakistan has violated the ceasefire. Kabul has claimed that at least 10 people have died in the attacks.
Afghanistan's local channel Tolo News quoted sources as saying that many houses in the border areas were destroyed and there was huge damage. It is being said that the situation is tense and there is a possibility of retaliation from the Taliban.
According to media reports, the attack took place at a time when the Pakistani delegation had reached Doha, the capital of Qatar. The Afghan delegation is scheduled to reach there on Saturday. It is believed that in the meeting to be held in Doha, Afghanistan will raise this action of Pakistan on the international forum and present a report against it.
On the other hand, Pakistan has accused Afghanistan of carrying out a suicide attack on a military camp in North Waziristan on Friday, in which seven Pakistani soldiers were killed and 13 were injured. However, Pakistani officials have not officially confirmed the air strike on Afghanistan.
The root of tension between the two countries is the Durand Line, which was drawn between India and Afghanistan during the British era. This line divides the traditional land of the Pathans on both sides, which they do not accept even today. For the last seven days, continuous clashes have been taking place on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan over this dispute.
