Auckland: There was an atmosphere of excitement at the Indian community event in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the stage. The people present in the auditorium stood up and welcomed him. Tricolours were hoisted and applause continued for several minutes. In his address, the Prime Minister appreciated the role of NRIs and said that Indians living abroad represent not just their families but the entire country. He said that the Indian community also has a big contribution in India's strong identity in the world.
