India had crushed Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. On every front, India overpowered Pakistan. Following this, Pakistan was forced to beg for a ceasefire. Yet, Pakistan projected itself as the victor of the conflict. Pakistani senior journalist Najam Sethi has exposed Shehbaz Sharif. He revealed how, when Pakistan was unable to stand up to India, it began pleading with the United States for a ceasefire.
According to a report by Moneycontrol, during a recently aired interview, Pakistani senior journalist Najam Sethi said that during the four-day conflict with India in May, Pakistan was constantly in contact with U.S. President Donald Trump. The Pakistani journalist claimed that President Trump himself brokered the ceasefire between the two countries.
However, India has outright denied that any third country mediated between the two nations. India has clearly stated that no third party played any role in mediation during the conflict. India only agreed to the ceasefire after Pakistan proposed it.
It is worth noting that the senior Pakistani journalist stated, "We thank U.S. President Trump for the ceasefire. Even at that time, we appreciated his initiative." Sethi further said that Pakistan made consistent efforts to maintain relations with Trump. “We succeeded too. We tried from every angle. Many lobbying companies were also working. This was a solid effort,” he added.
This statement from a Pakistani journalist comes at a time when Pakistan is loudly proclaiming a false victory across the world. His statement exposes Pakistan’s reality, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had claimed that Pakistan won the conflict. Not only that, after the conflict, the Pakistani government promoted Army Chief Asim Munir to the country's highest military rank – Field Marshal. Following this, Munir also visited the United States, where he had lunch with Donald Trump.
