Sidkul Shocker: Body of Accused Rajat Found in Canal After Heinous Crime Against Widow

Haridwar News: The body of Rajat, who was absconding for several days and was accused of cruelty to a widow woman in Sidkul area a week ago, has been recovered from Roorkee's Ganganahar. The accused has been identified by the family on the basis of the mobile phone and purse found in his pocket. The police is investigating every possibility of this case thoroughly whether Rajat's death was a suicide or an accident while he was absconding.

Painful incident: Acquaintance committed extreme brutality

This entire incident took place in Sidkul area a week ago when a widow woman was called to her room by her acquaintance Rajat on some pretext. There he raped the woman and tried to blind her by throwing chilli powder in her eyes. Not only this, he hit the woman's head with an iron rod and also made a deadly attack. On getting information about the incident, neighbor Arif immediately took the victim to the district hospital, where she was referred to AIIMS Rishikesh after seeing her critical condition.

Police deployed several teams in search of the accused

After this sensational crime, the police formed five teams to arrest the accused. The accused's maternal uncle, father, brother and brother-in-law were also arrested and sent to jail, because investigation revealed that the accused was being hidden by his own family members. The family members told the police that Rajat was with the family on the third day of the incident saying that he would surrender, but on the way he tried to escape near the iron bridge of Bahadarabad and after that he was not found.
