International News: US President Donald Trump has announced the start of a new gold card visa program. Under this, a fee of $1 million (about 8.3 crore rupees) for individual applicants and $2 million for companies (about Rs 16.6 crore) has been fixed. Trump claims that this program will be able to raise billions of dollars, which will reduce the taxes of American citizens and boost development works in the country.

Trump's statement

Trump said on his social media platform Truth, "Today we are happy to announce that 'Trump Gold Card' is being launched. This program is an important step towards fixing our long-broken immigration system. Millions of illegal migrants have come to the country without restriction for years. This new program will control them and strengthen America's economy."

Gold card design

A picture of the gold card has also been released. It resembles a premium Golden Credit Card. Trump's photo on the card, the Statue of Liberty and the American flag are made. The card is clearly written "Trump Gold Card." Although the design of the platinum card has not been revealed yet, the applicants are being included in the waiting list on the website on a first-come basis.

Way of visa and citizenship

Under this program, gold card holders will get the status of permanent resident (green card) under the EB-1 or EB-2 visa category. This can give them a way to gain American citizenship in the future. However, the authorities have not set a certain time limit to get citizenship.

Corporate gold card

Corporate gold card has also been introduced for companies. Through this, companies will be able to sponsor their foreign employees.

For this:

  • About $15,000 will have to be charged a non-worthy processing fee.
  • The investigation of DHS (Homeland Security Department) will have to be passed.
  • Then you have to contribute $2 million.
  • The entire program has been introduced by the Trump administration as a plan to improve the immigration system of America and increase revenue.
