Tehran: The ongoing military conflict between America and Iran is continuously deepening. Military actions and sharp statements are coming out one after the other from both the countries. Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has targeted America and said that Washington is continuously choosing the path of military confrontation and increasing instability in the region.
IRGC said in its statement that the US government has been trying to implement its policies with the help of military power for a long time. The organisation alleges that America has not learnt any lesson from recent incidents and has continued its action in the region.
The Iranian side claims that in the second phase of the retaliatory operation, the US military base 'Sheikh Isa' in Bahrain was targeted. Iran says that this action was taken in response to the recent American attacks.
According to Iran, the attack targeted helicopter maintenance centers, hangars associated with surveillance aircraft and facilities related to drone operations. However, these claims have not been independently confirmed and there has been no detailed response from the US side on these claims.
Iran has earlier also claimed to target US-linked military installations in Jordan, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. After these incidents, security arrangements have been tightened in the entire Gulf area.
Iranian officials say their navy conducted a special operation in the Strait of Hormuz and stopped and investigated some ships. Iran alleges that the activities of these ships were not in accordance with general maritime rules and raised questions on maritime security.
The Strait of Hormuz is the world's most important oil route. If tension increases further here, it will have a direct impact on the entire world. Crude oil prices may increase, movement of ships may stop and energy crisis may also occur. For this reason, countries of the world are appealing to both sides to maintain peace and resolve the issue through dialogue.
