Mumbai: Bollywood actor Abhay Deol has a different identity for his lifestyle like his films. This is the reason why his house in Goa has become a topic of discussion on social media these days. This house built in Asgaon area of North Goa, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, is completely different from traditional bungalows. Its biggest speciality is that there are no traditional windows here and instead of walls, big glass doors have been used.

The design of the house has been prepared in such a way that the dense forest and greenery outside are felt even inside the house. After the glimpse of the house was revealed, people are talking a lot about its unique architecture and natural environment.

What is the most unique feature of this house?

Abhay Deol prepared his house with the idea that there should not be any kind of wall between nature and humans. He had clearly told his architect that he wanted a house which did not have traditional windows. Keeping this in mind, large sliding glass doors from floor to ceiling were installed throughout the house, which open directly towards the forest and open lawn. Due to this, even while sitting inside the house, the complete view of greenery is visible and it feels as if nature is a part of the house.

How is the interior of the house decorated?

Like the exterior, the interior of the house is also a mix of simplicity and modernity. High ceilings, black granite floors, use of dark wood and selectively coloured walls give the house a distinct identity. Furniture is also kept limited, but colourful sofas, artworks and indoor plants add a lively feel to the entire home. Abhay has given priority to such things in decoration which maintain balance with the natural environment.

Is there no dearth of luxury facilities in the house?

Despite giving priority to the natural environment, this house is no less than a luxury villa in terms of facilities. The spacious living area, modern open kitchen, large dining space and open veranda add to its beauty. A swimming pool has also been built outside the house, from where the greenery spread all around is visible. Abhay Deol has told in many interviews that he likes to cook for friends and that is why the kitchen has also been given an open and useful design.

Abhay Deol says that he has built this house not to impress others, but as per his choice and lifestyle. He believes that home should be such where a person feels most comfortable. His desire to live amidst nature became the inspiration for this entire design. Therefore, he gave utmost importance to less decoration, open space and natural light. This house of his also shows a glimpse of his simplicity, personal preferences and connection with nature.
