Mumbai: Diva Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who always turns head with her fashion and presence, was seen wearing a stunning yellow saree-inspired Gaurav Gupta gown from their latest couture collection for the world premiere events for her upcoming movie The Bluff.
For the afterparty which was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre, the global actress wore a custom-made yellow couture piece from Gaurav Gupta's collection.
The actress chose a modern ethnic look from the designer's The Divine Androgyne Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
By keeping a drape over her head, she paid a tribute to her character Ercell Bodden. It is in reference to the opening scene of the movie, where Priyanka's character puts a dupatta over her head.
The couture also featured a yellow colour long trail and the actress paired it with a corset-inspired top.
The actress completed her look with gold tone, pointed toe heels, bold statement bag and open hair with soft curls paired and minimal makeup.
Taking to Instagram, Priyanka Chopra described her outfit, saying, “Wearing this is an ode to Ercell Bodden, my character in The Bluff. In the opening of the film she appears with a dupatta over her head, a subtle but meaningful marker of identity and strength.”
Expressing her love for saree, the global actress said, “I love a saree. And when I saw this piece walk down the couture runway last month, it felt like a saree with a modern twist. We immediately called Gaurav and asked him to hold it for me.”
Calling the piece “a quiet power”, the actress said that, “There’s a quiet power in its simplicity. The precision of the tailoring, the way it drapes and moves, felt both rooted and forward looking, and the bright yellow is so synonymous with the colorful palette of India. To me, this piece is a testament to the growing global scope of Indian fashion and how beautifully our heritage continues to evolve.”
Giving shoutout to the treasure chest bag , Priyanka said, “Ps: Don’t miss my treasure chest.”
Not just Priyanka Chopra but her bag also stole the spotlight. The treasure chest-shaped designer bag is from the shelves of the American luxury brand Judith Leiber, known for its impressive designer handbags. The bag was covered with brass detailing, gemstones and crystal embellishments.
The Sunken Treasure Chest bag, which Priyanka chose to go with her yellow saree-inspired gown, is available on the Judith Leiber website for $7,295, which is approximately Rs 6,63,623.
According to the Judith Leiber website, the bag has an instant heirloom quality, featuring a brass handle, a heart-shaped brass padlock, colourful gems, and dark hematite crystals.
