Punjab News: shocking video recorded by Akeel Akhtar days before his death accused his own father, former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa, of having an illicit affair with his wife. He also alleged that his mother, ex-minister Razia Sultana, and his sister were involved in a plot to either kill him or trap him in false cases. The 35-year-old’s words, now public, painted a disturbing picture of a family deeply fractured by mistrust and scandal.

Video raises suspicion over death

According to reports, Akeel was found unconscious in his Panchkula home in August, with the family claiming it was due to a drug overdose. However, a 16-minute video he recorded on August 27 was later handed to police by neighbour Shamshuddin Chaudhary, who also filed a complaint. In that recording, Akeel spoke of being harassed, mentally tortured, and financially cut off by his own family, sparking suspicion that his death might not have been natural.

Dark claims of harassment and abuse

In his video, Akeel described being falsely detained, sent to rehabilitation centers, and stripped of his business income. He alleged repeated threats from his family, along with physical abuse and mental torture. His shocking claim was that he had been suffering since 2018 when he discovered his father’s alleged affair with his wife. He also said his mother and sister conspired to poison or implicate him, further deepening the mystery of his troubled life.

Complaint pushes for wider probe

The complaint filed by neighbour Shamshuddin urged police to carry out a detailed investigation, citing Akeel’s video as evidence that his life was under threat. He demanded examination of Akeel’s social media posts, call records, digital files, and post-mortem reports. The focus of the probe is now on the possible role of Mustafa, Razia Sultana, and other family members, as suspicions continue to mount that the case involves far more than a simple overdose.

A twist with another video clip

Just when the controversy was at its peak, another video surfaced where Akeel seemed to retract his allegations. In that clip, he claimed he was suffering from schizophrenia and that his family had always taken care of him. He even praised his sister for giving him medicines, though he admitted he once believed she was trying to poison him. The video confused the narrative further, raising doubts over Akeel’s mental condition and state of mind.

Mixed messages fuel uncertainty

While Akeel appeared to clear his family in the second video, his words took a darker turn by the end. He once again hinted that his family might kill him in the future, cursing them before the video ended. These mixed statements have left investigators struggling to piece together whether he was genuinely suffering from mental illness or whether he was pressured to record conflicting messages. Either way, the mystery only deepens with every new revelation.

Police register case, probe continues

Authorities have now registered a case against Mohammad Mustafa, Razia Sultana, their daughter, and daughter-in-law under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. Investigators are examining every angle, from family disputes to mental health issues, to uncover the truth. The case has stirred both political and police circles in Punjab, with many waiting to see if justice will be delivered. For now, Akeel’s haunting final words continue to echo—casting shadows of suspicion over his family.
