National News: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over the seizure of old vehicles in Delhi and the decision to conduct artificial rain during the monsoon. Delhi State President of AAP, Saurabh Bhardwaj, criticized both policies, calling them impractical, anti-public, and a reflection of administrative failure. He remarked, “The BJP government is not running a state capital; it is running the panchayat of Phulera.”

Government wants chaos at petrol pumps

Since July 1, the BJP government has held petrol pump operators responsible for enforcing a ban on petrol vehicles over 15 years old and diesel vehicles over 10 years old. On this, Bhardwaj questioned, “Was there no other way to remove old vehicles? Now they want to create fights at petrol pumps? This policy is completely unworkable and may trigger disputes between pump employees and customers.”

He further added that even the Petrol Pump Owners’ Association has rejected the government’s decision.

Artificial rain during monsoon? What could be more foolish

Bhardwaj mocked the Delhi government’s decision to pilot an artificial rain project during the ongoing monsoon. “When it is already raining daily in Delhi, who even thinks of launching artificial rain? Even a village panchayat wouldn’t make such an illogical decision,” he said.

According to him, the BJP neither has a proper intention nor a coherent plan. “They don’t want to work. They just want to make excuses and abuse Kejriwal.”

We didn’t blame Sheila Dikshit; they’re just making excuses

The AAP leader contrasted the BJP’s attitude with his own party’s record. “When we came to power, we didn’t blame the previous government. We never used Sheila Dikshit as an excuse. We respected the public mandate and started working for the people.”

He added that if Rekha Gupta remains the Chief Minister under the BJP government, she will spend the next five years doing nothing but blaming AAP.

Questions raised on BJP and IAS Association

Referring to the viral video of an IAS officer being assaulted by BJP councilors in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Bhardwaj said, “When a so-called slap incident occurred in Delhi, the entire system rose against Kejriwal. Now a BJP councilor has beaten an IAS officer, but neither the IAS Association nor the media is reacting. Why this silence?”

He also reminded people of another incident involving BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, who allegedly grabbed an IPS officer by the collar. “Why didn’t the IPS Association call for a strike then? Have these service associations become puppets of the BJP?”

AAP will investigate if it returns to power

Saurabh Bhardwaj concluded by saying that if the Aam Aadmi Party returns to power, it will launch a thorough investigation into such impractical decisions and the administrative processes behind them. “We will ensure accountability of those officers who obstruct public works daily but sign off on such irrational files.”
