New Delhi: Sources indicate that top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leaders, Abdul Rauf and Rizwan Hanif, held a crucial meeting in Kotli on Wednesday. The two terrorists were reportedly welcomed with flowers at the meeting, and strategies for reactivating the terrorist network were discussed.

Who is Rizwan Hanif?

According to reports, Rizwan Hanif is the Deputy Amir of Lashkar-e-Taiba's PoK unit and serves as the main link between Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed. He held  a joint combat unit called the "Hilal-ul-Haq Brigade."

This brigade is a joint alliance between Lashkar and Jaish, reportedly operating under the name People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF).

What the Intelligence sources revealed?

According to the Intelligence sources, this meeting is considered extremely important following the recent Delhi bombings. It is believed that discussions focused on increasing terrorist activities and activating sleeper cells within India.

What the sources revealed about terrorist connection with Pahalgam terror attack?

Sources also revealed that Habib Tahir, a terrorist involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, was in contact with Rizwan Hanif. This connection clearly indicates that terrorists based in PoK continue to maintain close contact with modules operating in the Valley and other parts of India.

Security agencies are now investigating the agenda of this meeting and the identities of other terrorists present.

Meanwhile, after the Delhi blasts, locals in Sonamarg, J&K held a candle march in the city. A local talking about the same said, "This candle protest was organised to show that we strongly oppose the bomb blast incident that took place in Delhi yesterday. We have no words to condemn it. It is a murder of humanity. We always say that the murder of an innocent is the murder of humanity.''

Several national and international leaders spoke about the Delhi blasts and criticised the incidents.
