Andhra Pradesh Accident: 7 Members of a Family Killed in Tragic Truck-Car Collision in Nellore

Andhra Pradesh Accident: A tragic incident was reported in Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. Seven members of a family were killed in a collision between a sand-laden truck and a car on Wednesday. According to the reports, the incident took place near the Sangam Mandal in Nellore district. 
As per police, the family in the car was heading to Atmakur Government Hospital to visit their relatives who were hospitalized when a sand-laden truck from the opposite direction collided with the car. The impact of the accident was so severe that seven people inside the car died on the spot, including a 15-year-old girl among them.

Truck driver fled from the scene

As per the reports, the truck driver fled the scene after the accident. Police is currently investigating the matter. Police reached the spot soon after receiving the information and a case has been registered. The dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Police officials stated that all the deceased were residents of Nellore city and were traveling to the hospital to visit relatives.

YSR Congress Party Chief Expressed His Condolences

Expressing his sadness over the accident, YSR Congress Party chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy issued a message and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. Jagan Mohan Reddy appealed to the administration to take strict measures to prevent road accidents and prevent such incidents in the future.
