Kejriwal Makes Big Changes in AAP Leadership, Assigns New Responsibilities to Key Leaders

New Delhi: There have been some major changes in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which can prove to be important for the party's upcoming plans and election strategies. Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has recently appointed new in-charges and co-in-charges for many states. The purpose of this decision is to increase the party's strength in state-level elections and to further strengthen the organization. On 21 May 2025, Aam Aadmi Party released the list of its new in-charges and co-in-charges for various states. Dilip Pandey has been made the overseas coordinator while four senior leaders have been given the responsibility of co-in-charge for Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, in-charges of many states have also been appointed who will further strengthen the party's electoral efforts.

Who is the new in-charge?

  • Dilip Pandey - Overseas Coordinator
  • Jitendra Singh Tomar - In-charge of Madhya Pradesh
  • Rajesh Gupta - Incharge of Karnataka
  • Rituraj Govind – In-charge of Himachal Pradesh
  • Mahendra Yadav - Incharge of Uttarakhand
  • Dhirendra Tokas – Incharge of Rajasthan
  • Prakash Jarwal - Incharge of Maharashtra
  • Priyanka Kakkar – In-charge of Telangana
  • Shelly Oberoi – In-charge of Kerala
  • Pankaj Singh - Incharge of Tamil Nadu
  • Prabhakar Gaur - Incharge of Ladakh
  • In addition, four co-incharges have been appointed for Uttar Pradesh:
  • Dilip Pandey
  • Special Ravi
  • Anil Jha
  • Chandrendra Kumar
  • The list of co-incharges of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh has also been released, which includes the names of Ghanendra Bhardwaj and Vijay Phulara.

Special focus on Uttar Pradesh

Special attention has been given to Uttar Pradesh because the next assembly elections in this state are to be held in 2027. This is why four senior leaders have been made co-in-charge here. The aim of these leaders is to strengthen the party's position in the state and prepare the organization for the upcoming elections. The announcement of this change and the list of responsibilities has been signed by National Organization General Secretary Dr. Sandeep Pathak. This move is expected to infuse a new energy within the party. The party will now further strengthen its organizational structure in every state with this new appointment.
