New Delhi: On the occasion of 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes at the 'Sadaiv Atal' memorial in New Delhi.
PM Modi took to his X and posted, ''On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, the revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, today I had the good fortune to visit his memorial site ‘Sadaiva Atal’ in Delhi and pay my tributes to him. His life dedicated to public service and national service will always continue to inspire the people of the country.''
President Droupadi Murmu also paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary at his Samadhi 'Sadaiv Atal' in New Delhi. Posting same on X, President Droupadi Murmu wrote, ''Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas filled with peace, compassion and hope. May the teachings of Jesus Christ strengthen harmony in our society.''
Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah extending his wishes on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, posted on X, ''Founder of BJP, Bharat Ratna, the revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, I pay my respects to him on behalf of the grateful nation. Atal ji, through the establishment of the BJP, provided Indian politics with a political alternative that places the nation's interest and cultural nationalism above all.''
He added, ''Whether it was to make India a nuclear-powered nation or to realize good governance, under his leadership, the NDA government presented a governance model that advanced heritage and science together before the country. Atal ji are such powerful signatures of public service and organizational strength in Indian politics that they can never be forgotten.''
