Atishi on Flood Victims: Every family should get at least Rs 18,000, and farmers 20,000 compensation

Atishi also reminded that when there was a Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, the situation was different. Whether there was a pollution crisis, a problem of rain and waterlogging or a disaster like an epidemic - the AAP government always provided relief packages.

The flood in Delhi has ruined the lives of thousands of families. Due to which the flood-affected families are still waiting for help. The goods kept in the houses, furniture, utensils, children's books, even the important documents of the people were washed away in the water. In many areas, people are still living on loans, but the wait for relief from the government is getting longer. The families who needed immediate help today are having to make rounds of government offices.

Atishi on Current Government

Regarding this situation, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi attacked the Rekha Gupta government directly by holding a digital press conference. He said that the negligence of the government has further increased the difficulties of the flood victims. Atishi demanded that all the elder members of every affected family should be given financial assistance of at least Rs 18,000. Farmers whose crops have been completely destroyed should be given a compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre. Children's education has been badly affected in the floods, their copies and books have been washed away, so new books and study material should be made available immediately. Also, for the families whose important papers and documents have been destroyed, relief camps should be set up and new documents should be made.

Atishi sarcastically said that when people were drowning in water to save their homes, the government kept making statements only. She said that it is very sad that today's government is sitting silent leaving the people to their fate.

Atishi says AAP government always provided relief packages

She also reminded that when there was a Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, the situation was different. Whether there was a pollution crisis, a problem of rain and waterlogging or a disaster like an epidemic - the AAP government always provided relief packages and help immediately. People had faith that the government would stand with them in times of crisis. But today the same Delhiites are feeling helpless.

Previous Vs Today's Government

The public is now clearly seeing the huge difference between the previous government and today's government. Earlier they used to get confidence and relief, but now there is only waiting and disappointment. The silence and failure of the Rekha Gupta government has proved that the concern for the people of Delhi is no longer a priority of the BJP government.
