New Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda launched several schemes to ensure access to better and simpler healthcare facilities for the general public. These include a chatbot called Ayushman Sarathi for Ayushman Bharat, National Ambulance Service Guidelines, the Suman Roadmap to ensure maternal and newborn health care by 2030, and the Comprehensive Infant Health Welfare and Anaemia-Free India Campaign.
While launching these schemes on Monday, JP Nadda said that building a healthy country is a crucial step towards building a developed India in 2047. A WhatsApp chatbot called Ayushman Sarathi will provide Swasth Bharat beneficiaries with 24-hour access to key services without visiting government offices or calling helplines. It provides secure and real-time access to Ayushman Bharat scheme services via WhatsApp.
"The chatbot serves as an important digital interface between PM-JAY beneficiaries and the National Health Authority, promoting efficient service delivery and improved beneficiary satisfaction. The platform also supports data-driven governance by enabling feedback collection, grievance management, and continuous improvement in healthcare service delivery," he said.
Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card can be used to check your eligibility under the scheme, apply for and download Ayushman Card, complete e-KYC, link Aadhaar, lock or unlock your PM-JAY card and avail services related to Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card for senior citizens aged 70 years and above.
It also allows you to view your remaining treatment balance and treatment history. You can locate nearby empanelled hospitals, register and track complaints, request a callback, and submit feedback after discharge. It aims to improve accessibility, transparency, and citizen participation by providing instant access to PM-JAY services through WhatsApp.
JP Nadda also launched a new version of Aarogya Setu, a key tool in COVID vaccination efforts. Aarogya Setu 2.0 will serve as a digital platform for personal health records. It can also track health insurance coverage and claims. Developed under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, this application will serve as a digital gateway for accessing advanced healthcare services.
It enables the creation of an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha) ID, management of health records, and digital registration with hospitals through the "Scan and Share" feature. It also provides real-time information on individual and family health insurance coverage for Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries.
JP Nadda launched the Unified Health Interface (UHI), which allows patients to find, book, and access verified healthcare services across multiple digital platforms. This interoperable digital network ensures patients have access to various platforms without being tied to a single application.
