A shocking case has surfaced in Bengaluru where a college student was allegedly lured under the guise of academic help and sexually assaulted by two lecturers and their friend. The accused have now been arrested following a formal complaint.

Academic Help Turns Into a Trap

The survivor, a student, was reportedly contacted by a physics lecturer named Narendra, who promised to share important academic notes if she came to Bengaluru. Trusting him, she traveled to the city. However, instead of receiving help, she was taken to a friend’s house, where Narendra allegedly raped her.

Blackmail and Repeated Assault

Things worsened when another lecturer, Sandeep—who teaches biology—got hold of a video recording of the first incident. Using the footage, he is said to have blackmailed the student and sexually assaulted her as well. Later, a third person named Anup, a friend of the lecturers, allegedly used CCTV footage to threaten her and also raped her, according to police reports.

Delayed Complaint and Arrests

Although the assaults took place over a month ago, the survivor remained silent out of fear. She recently shared the traumatic experience with her parents, who then approached the Karnataka State Women’s Commission. The commission took the matter seriously and directed the police to act immediately. Following this, a case was registered on July 5. Bengaluru East Division Joint Commissioner of Police Ramesh Banoth confirmed that three individuals were arrested based on the student’s complaint.

Action Underway

The three men — Narendra, Sandeep, and Anup — are associated with a private college in Bengaluru. Authorities are currently investigating the case further. The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about student safety and abuse of power within academic institutions.
