Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal joined the Sangat on Tuesday and prayed for the state's progress and prosperity for Punjabi brothers.
Both leaders participated in the Ardas (prayer) after the Bhog ceremony of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, organized at Gurdwara Baba Budha Dal Cantonment to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the great Sikh martyrs Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji.
They joined the large number of Sangat who had gathered to offer thanks and prayed for everyone's well-being. Both leaders expressed their pride in having the opportunity to serve during the events related to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor stated that Sikhism preached equality and secularism to the world. They stated that Guru Granth Sahib Ji is a beacon of brotherhood, secularism, and socialism for every human being. Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Punjabis, especially Sikhs, have inherited the spirit of sacrifice and bravery from the great Sikh Gurus, who taught us to fight against tyranny, oppression, and injustice.
The Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor stated that it is the duty of the state government to preserve our rich cultural heritage for future generations. They stated that millions of people around the world desire that the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji be celebrated on a grand scale commensurate with Guru Sahib's supreme sacrifice.
Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government has made humble efforts to make the events memorable, as expected by millions of people around the world. They said that the government and the people of Punjab consider themselves extremely fortunate to witness this magnificent and sacred historical occasion.
