National News: 21st century wars are no longer limited to guns, tanks or missiles. Drones have now become the most dangerous, fastest and accurate weapon of war, changing the very definition of military strategies. During the recent border tension between Pakistan and India, Pakistan sent more than 400 drones one after another into the Indian territory — but the Indian security forces destroyed them mid-air. And a name emerged behind this failure: "Bhargavastra".
'Bhargavastra' is not a fiction, but a state-of-the-art anti-drone system developed by India, specifically designed to neutralize swarms of drones. This system can fire 64 guided micro-missiles simultaneously, which can destroy drones coming from any direction in seconds. It is completely based on indigenous technology and is a perfect symbol of India's self-reliant defense policy.
Bhargavastra has been developed by Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited, and most importantly, it has been developed at a low cost. While anti-drone systems of big countries cost millions of dollars, Bhargavastra works on the principle of more impact at less cost. This is what makes it special — less cost, more security.
On May 13, Bhargavastra was tested at three levels at Gopalpur Firing Range in Odisha. In the first two tests, one rocket each was fired, which hit its target without a miss. In the third test, two rockets were fired in salvo mode at an interval of two seconds and both hit the target, proving their efficiency. All the rockets successfully met every parameter of launching and targeting.
Bhargavastra has been designed to attack at three levels:
This structure makes 'Bhargavastra' excellent in both offensive and defensive roles.
This system is not only effective for the Army, but also for the Air Force and Navy. With this, India's air defense line has come out with a new strength. With the arrival of 'Bhargavastra', India has made it clear that it is not only ready to deal with attacks, but also has the ability to change the rules of war. 'Bhargavastra' is no longer just an anti-drone system, but has become the flag of India's defense self-reliance. Wherever the enemy looks up, 'Bhargavastra' is ready to respond in the blink of an eye.
