Patna: A shocking incident has taken place in a village falling under the jurisdiction of the Parsa Bazaar police station in Patna - the capital of Bihar. A man, along with two accomplices, has allegedly raped his three-year-old niece. The injured child has been admitted to AIIMS Patna for medical treatment. Acting swiftly, the police have arrested two of the accused, while the third suspect remains at large. The police are currently conducting raids in search of the fugitive. The incident has left the local community in a state of shock.
Providing details regarding the case, Menka Rani, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Parsa Bazaar, stated that the incident occurred on Friday night at approximately 11:30 PM. The child was sleeping inside her home when her uncle abducted her, carried her to a nearby field, and, along with his two friends, subjected her to sexual assault. The police arrived at the scene after being alerted by the victim's mother. They transported the child to the hospital and subsequently arrested the accused uncle along with one of his accomplices. One of the perpetrators involved in the crime remains at large and has so far evaded police capture.
The victim's mother recounted that her daughter was asleep inside their home when her uncle—who is reportedly addicted to intoxicants—broke into the house and carried the sleeping child away. He took her to a field situated approximately 500 meters behind their home, where he and his two friends committed the rape. She further explained that, at the time of the incident, a local villager was guarding his fish-rearing pond nearby. Upon hearing the child's screams and cries, he suspected that a child-kidnapper had infiltrated the village and began raising an alarm. Startled by the commotion, the perpetrators abandoned the child at the scene and fled.
Awakened by the ensuing noise, the mother discovered that her daughter was missing from her bed. As she began to weep in distress, other family members rushed to the scene to search for the child. Everyone was left aghast upon witnessing the child's condition. They immediately reported the incident to the Parsa Bazaar police station. The Parsa Bazaar police subsequently admitted the child to AIIMS Patna for medical treatment.
The Station House Officer of Parsa Bazaar further confirmed that a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has been summoned to the crime scene by the police to assist with the investigation. He stated that the victimized child would undergo a medical examination, and that the statements of both the child and her mother would be recorded in court shortly, with the aim of securing the strictest possible punishment for the accused as expeditiously as possible through a speedy trial.
