Bihar Polls 2025: The excitement for the Bihar Assembly elections in 2025 has reached its peak. Today is the eighth and last day of nomination for 121 assemblies of the first phase. According to the Election Commission, candidates can file nomination papers till this evening, while scrutiny will take place on October 18. NDA has announced all the candidates for its 243 seats, but the confusion regarding seat sharing still persists in the Grand Alliance. Nevertheless, RJD has started giving symbols to many candidates. Tejashwi Yadav filed a nomination from Raghopur, but the tussle in the alliance pushed the opposition on the back foot. Voting on 6 and 11 November, counting on 14.

NDA's confidence: Nitish is CM face, focus on development

BJP's national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan gave a clear message regarding Nitish Kumar. In a tweet, he said, "Nitish Kumar is our leader. He has an absolute majority. His track record of good governance and development in Bihar is unmatched." This statement of Paswan shows the unity of NDA, where the strategy of keeping Nitish as the CM face is clear. On the other hand, BJP MP Ravi Kishan emphasized development. He said, "Development is our identity. Our focus is on women's safety and employment of youth." Kishan is on the star campaigner list, strengthening NDA's hold with Bhojpuri stars. BJP released the list of 40 star campaigners, which includes names like PM Modi, Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath, and Pawan Singh.

Amit Shah will address the Prabuddhajan Sammelan in Patna today. JD(U) completed the NDA by releasing the second list of 44 candidates.

Shock to RJD: Sarfaraz Alam joins Jansuraj

Former Lok Sabha MP and four-time MLA from Jokihat Sarfaraz Alam resigned from RJD and joined Prashant Kishor's Jansuraj Party. Taslimuddin's son Alam is an influential Muslim leader of Seemanchal. As soon as he joined Jansuraj, he said, "Bihar will change with Prashant Kishore's vision." This is a big blow for RJD, especially for the Muslim vote bank. Jansuraj has so far declared candidates for 116 seats, in which EBC, OBC, and SC/ST are represented.

Prashant's taunt: Question on Samrat Chaudhary's education

Prashant Kishor attacked the educational qualification of NDA Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary. “Samrat Chaudhary has not yet clarified whether he has passed 10th or not,” Kishore said. Citing Chaudhary's affidavit, he said that despite failing in 10th, the claim of a D.Litt. degree seems false. This question is intensifying the election stir. Chaudhary is the BJP candidate from Tarapur.
The grand alliance decided the seat distribution late at night, but the announcement was delayed. Congress released the first list of 11 candidates. An RJD worker said, “We will come back stronger, but the delay in nomination today could cause damage.” At the same time, NDA workers are enthusiastic—"The Nitish-Modi pair is invincible."

What do people say?

Heated discussion at Patna's tea shops—"The delay of the grand alliance shows the weakness of the opposition." A youth said, "Employment and development are the issue, not fake degrees." Jansuraj's entry created a triangular contest. Hopefully, the nomination is peaceful. ECI has asked to be strict.

This election will decide the future of Bihar. NDA's dominance, opposition's confusion—suspense continues. Check channels for live updates.
