'Received Bomb Threat': Air India Plane Bound to Delhi Makes Emergency Landing in Thailand

As per the official statement, it is said that flight AI 379 has landed, and the airport is working further with the emergency service. An Air India flight from the Thai island of Phuket to Delhi had received a bomb threat on Friday, as per the official note. As soon as the information was received, an emergency landing was made.

On Friday, Air India flight AI 379 from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Thailand after receiving a bomb threat. All 156 passengers on board were evacuated safely. The plane circled over the Andaman Sea and then landed back at Phuket airport. No information has been received so far about the person who made the threat. This incident came to light just a day after the Ahmedabad plane crash accident.

As per the official statement, it is said that flight AI 379 has landed, and the airport is working further with the emergency service. An Air India flight from the Thai island of Phuket to Delhi had received a bomb threat on Friday, as per the official note. As soon as the information was received, an emergency landing was made.

Soon after the flight landed at a Thai airport, all the passengers on board were taken down for safety reasons. Along with this, the entire plane is being thoroughly checked. The flight took off from Phuket airport for New Delhi at 9:30 am on Friday (02:30 local time) and was scheduled to reach New Delhi airport at 1 pm IST. However, after receiving a bomb threat near the Andaman Sea, the flight made an emergency landing at a Thailand airport.

Flights returned amid Iran-Israel conflict

After the Israeli attack on Iran, both countries have closed their airspace. This is the reason why many aircraft from India have been diverted, and many of them are returning back to the national capital, New Delhi. While noticing this, Air India has appealed to the people to maintain peace. The airline has also assured all possible help.

Ahmedabad Plane Crash on 12 June, 2025

Just a day before the threat of bombing this Air India flight, a big accident happened in Ahmedabad. An Air India Flight Boeing 787 Dreamliner AI-171 crashed here in Ahmedabad. In which over 250 people were killed. An Air India flight took off from Ahmedabad airport to London at 1:38 pm IST on Thursday. The flight crashed just 2 minutes later. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is also among the dead, while only one passenger, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, seat number 11A, managed to survive. After this incident, the threat of bombing another Air India flight has worried everyone.
