The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), which is probing the case against the prime accused, Jamaluddin alias Changur, has reportedly found strong indications that he received protection and support from four state government officers. These include an Additional District Magistrate (ADM), two Circle Officers (COs), and one Inspector, all of whom were posted in Balrampur between 2019 and 2024.

The custody remand of Changur and his associate Neetu, alias Nasreen, ends on Wednesday. According to ATS sources, both will be transferred to judicial custody by 6 PM. During interrogation, Nasreen reportedly made several explosive revelations, helping uncover critical aspects of Changur’s wider network.

Nasreen Reveals Rift with Changur

Insiders state that Nasreen and Changur’s relationship had deteriorated over time. During questioning, Nasreen disclosed the reason behind their fallout, stating that Changur replaced her with his son Mehboob in handling sensitive foreign funding operations, leading to growing disagreements.
