CM Yogi Makes 'Vande Mataram' Mandatory In Every UP Schools, Says ‘No New Jinnahs Should Rise'

Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has today flagged off ‘Ekta Yatra’ as part of the nationwide celebrations marking 150 years of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary.

Speaking at the occasion, CM Yogi said, “PM Narendra Modi declared October 31 as National Unity Day in honour of the 'Iron Man of India'. The ‘Ekta Yatra’ symbolises our collective resolve to preserve national unity and integrity..."

What announcement CM Yogi made about Vande Mataram song?

Notably, CM Yogi also made a big announcement on the occasion and said that 'Vande Mataram' will be made compulsory to sing at the every schools in Uttar Pradesh. "There should be a sense of respect for the national song Vande Mataram. We will make its singing compulsory in every school and educational institution of Uttar Pradesh," said CM Yogi.

He continued to add, "Every school and college should recite and sing Vande Mataram with pride. We must identify and act against those who weaken our unity so that no other ‘Jinnah’ can ever rise to challenge India’s integrity.”

What CM Yogi said about Congress?

Speaking at the event, CM Yogi also made some allegations against Congress and said that they called Vande Mataram’ communal. CM Yogi said, “Congress called ‘Vande Mataram’ communal and amended it. No religion or caste can be greater than the country; we must set aside beliefs that hinder national unity.”

He continued to add, “There’s no point in opposing ‘Vande Mataram’; opposing it was the reason behind our country’s partition.”

What CM Yogi said about Jinnah?

In his bold statement, CM Yogi further said, “We must ensure no new Jinnah ever arises in India again; must bury divisive intent before it can take root.”
