New Delhi: Abhijeet Dipke arrived in Delhi from Mumbai on Saturday morning to participate in the CJP's proposed protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The Delhi Police, who had been tracking his location, detained him at the airport. The Delhi Police arrived on the flight to take him into custody. In addition to Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were also detained.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has strongly objected to this action by the Delhi Police. The party stated that the Delhi Police entered the flight upon landing and arrested the three. According to a party spokesperson, the Delhi Police had planned their arrest in advance. Their goal was to arrest the top leader to undermine the protest.
According to a party spokesperson, a call for a peaceful protest had been made. Despite this, the police took this action. The party condemned the Delhi Police's actions and demanded the unconditional release of the three leaders. Meanwhile, the news of their arrest has already heated up the atmosphere in Delhi.
CJP chief Abhijeet Dipke has reacted strongly to the Delhi Police's intrusion into the flight and arrest. He told the Delhi Police, "I have come here to be arrested myself; arrest me." However, the Delhi Police told him that he would not be arrested. The Delhi Police have appealed to Abhijeet Dipke to cooperate with the operation. Abhijeet Dipke was live on Facebook during the operation.
Before Abhijeet Dipke, Delhi Police detained Dhruv Rathee. The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is holding a protest at Jantar Mantar today. Earlier on Saturday, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained from his residence in Sector 56, Gurugram, where he had come to participate. Tight security arrangements have been made across the national capital for this protest.
