New Delhi: As the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage III has been imposed in Delhi-NCR due to the degrading air quality level, the Directorate of Education, Delhi has made a big decision.
In a fresh update, the Directorate of Education has instructed schools up to Class 5 to hold classes in a hybrid mode. In its statement, the DoE, Delhi notification stated, "All Heads of Schools of Government, Government Aided, Unaided RecognizedPrivate Schools of DoE, NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board are directed to conduct classes in schools for children up to Class V in a Hybrid Mode i.e., both in physical and online mode (wherever online mode is feasible) with immediate effect until further orders."
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Guta said, "GRAP 3 has been imposed and all the safety measures have also been taken. Schools upto class 5 will be conducted on hybrid mode- online and physical classes..."

Further revealing details about CM Rekha Gupta's meeting at the Delhi Secretariat, Delhi Minister Ashish Sood said, "..The burning of stubble in the surrounding states is a factor in pollution in Delhi, there is a decrease in incidents in the surrounding states and climate change is also a factor. Along with this, Delhi's dust pollution and vehicle traffic—detailed discussions were held in the meeting on all these subjects.''
He further said, ''Our government is committed to stopping pollution in the coming times....Along with the implementation of GRAP III, there is a provision for hybrid learning in primary classes; immediate action will be taken on this."
