New Delhi: Delhi Metro has made special arrangements for lakhs of students during the CBSE Board Exams 2026. The Class 10th and 12th board exams will run from February 17 to April 10. Students will receive additional facilities at metro stations during this period. In collaboration with CISF, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has implemented special arrangements to expedite crowd management and security checks. Students presenting their admit cards will receive priority at all stages, from frisking to ticket counters. This means students will neither have to wait in line at metro stations nor face hassles while purchasing tickets.
DMRC's Head of Corporate Communications, Anuj Dayal, explained that keeping in mind the commute of lakhs of students in the capital, DMRC, in collaboration with CISF, has implemented special facilities at metro stations to handle the increased passenger traffic during the exam period.
"With Lakhs of students commuting across the city, DMRC in partnership with CISF is implementing special facilitation measures at metro stations to accommodate the increased footfall on examination days", DMRC said in a post on X.com.
But this facility will only be available to students who show their admit cards to metro staff. Students carrying their CBSE admit card will be given priority during security checks at metro stations. Students presenting their admit card will also be given priority when purchasing tickets at ticket operating machines and customer care centers. Special announcements will also be made for students.
