National News: There was a furor in Delhi's Dwarka Sector-13 on Tuesday morning when a sudden fire broke out in a flat on the seventh floor of the Sabad apartment. A father trapped in a house surrounded by flames jumped from the building to save his life with two of his innocent children. The three died during treatment in the hospital, causing a wave of mourning throughout the area.
According to Delhi Police, the first two twins of 10 years—a boy and a girl - jumped from the balcony. He was rushed to Akash Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. After this, the father of the children, Yash Yadav (35), also jumped from the balcony. He was rushed to IGI Hospital but could not survive.
Yash Yadav was associated with the flex board business. In the accident, his wife and elder son managed to escape the flames, although he has been scorched and is currently in the IGI Hospital. Medical teams have been deployed to help the family.
The Delhi Fire Service received information about the fire at around 10 am, after which 8 fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot. The fire was in a flat on the seventh floor of the Sabad apartment. Firemen are engaged in relief and rescue. There is still a possibility of 2-3 people being trapped in the building.
Given the severity of the fire, the entire apartment complex was evacuated as a precautionary measure. In terms of security, the power and PNG gas supply of the society have been discontinued. The DDA and MCD have been informed to evaluate the structural security of the building.
