National News: The courtyard of Shaheed Bhai Bal Mukund Sarvodaya Vidyalaya transformed into a breathtaking sight that day, as former students returned after years to attend the fifth alumni meet. The atmosphere was filled with childhood memories, the laughter of old friends, and the hopes of a new generation blending seamlessly together. Walking through the familiar corridors, every alumnus could vividly recall their past, while the sparkle of the future shone brightly in the eyes of the current students. This day was not just a reunion; it became a bridge connecting the past with the present. Former students of Model School ‘C’ not only refreshed their memories but also pledged to actively contribute to the growth and progress of their beloved institution.
Their promise was not limited to words but reflected in the inspiration they shared with the younger students. Every conversation ignited new dreams in young minds and opened a fresh path for their future. This ceremony proved that when the older generation and the new walk hand in hand, the journey of education goes beyond textbooks and transforms into life-changing stories. The fifth alumni meet became a beautiful example of unity and inspiration.
The program commenced with a warm welcome speech by Mrs. Rajni Taneja, President of MSCAA. She extended heartfelt thanks to Deputy Director (Education) Mr. Kuldeep Singh and Principal Mr. Manjul Manohar for their unwavering encouragement and support, acknowledging their key role in strengthening alumni-school ties.
Serving as Guest of Honor, Deputy Director Mr. Kuldeep Singh applauded the impactful contribution of the alumni network, stating, “Alumni serve as a vital bridge in guiding and inspiring students to aim for greater heights.” The school’s Principal, Mr. Manjul Manohar, shared his vision for deeper collaboration between the alumni and the institution in the coming years. His active engagement with both alumni and students throughout the event received wide appreciation from all attendees.
The highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of meritorious students. Awards were presented to the first, second, and third position holders in the science, commerce, and humanities streams of Class 12, sponsored by alumni members in memory of their late parents. Additionally, the top three achievers from Class 8 were also honored for their outstanding performance.
Students who achieved national-level accolades in sports, Spectra Games participants, the Best NCC Cadets, and those excelling in innovative science projects were also recognized on stage for their dedication and achievements. An interactive alumni-student quiz brought an element of fun and learning, fostering stronger intergenerational bonds and encouraging meaningful dialogue between past and present students.
The school’s talented girl students mesmerized the audience with a vibrant presentation of traditional Indian dance forms, filling the auditorium with color, rhythm, and applause.
The event was skillfully anchored by Alumni Joint Secretary Mr. Umesh Ji and seamlessly coordinated by Secretary Mr. Surinder Singh Nijhar. Treasurer Dr. Vikas Suryavanshi, along with other senior members, played a pivotal role in ensuring the program’s smooth execution. A delightful lunch, generously hosted by alumni member Mr. Hemant Sudan, provided an opportunity for alumni, staff, and students to mingle and share memories over a meal.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Senior Vice President Dr. Satish Tyagi, who expressed deep gratitude to all guests, participants, and contributors for making the reunion a success. This annual gathering not only celebrated the spirit of unity but also underscored the alumni’s commitment to the school’s growth and excellence.
