New Delhi: Two earthquake tremors were felt within a span of three minutes on Thursday afternoon in Gujarat's Kutch district. The first earthquake struck at 2:20 PM, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale; its epicenter was located 32 kilometers northeast of Khavda.
Just three minutes later, at 2:23 PM, a second tremor measuring 3.2 was felt. The epicenter of the second earthquake was 32 kilometers west-northwest of Dholavira. According to preliminary reports, there has been no loss of life or damage to property. Kutch is considered a highly seismically sensitive region, where earthquakes of low to moderate intensity occur periodically.
