Punjab News. Tension over water between Punjab and a neighboring state is at its peak. The conflict over water sharing between the two states has increased to such an extent that the situation has reached the ministry from the field. The Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has made it clear that it will not allow even a single drop outside the state boundaries. On the other hand, the neighboring state is talking about its authority over this water.

CM reached Nagal Dam, discussion with officials

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann suddenly reached Nagal Dam on Thursday afternoon. He took stock of the condition of the dam there and held a meeting with the authorities in a closed room. The Chief Minister again reiterated that the water of the land of Punjab is only from the Punjabis. "We will not let water be looted at any cost," he said. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has taken the front at the control room of Nagal Dam. Bains said, "Now we have the keys of the dam. BBMB can no longer run any order here."

Punjab Police surrounds dam control station

The security of the dam has been increased. The Punjab Police has surrounded the operation center of Nagal Dam. No outsiders are now allowed to come to the dam. Police officials say this step has been taken in view of security. On the other hand, continuous meetings are going on between BBMB officials and security agencies.

Punjab officers removed from BBMB

Amid this dispute, Punjab official Akashdeep has been removed from BBMB and sent to Haryana. In his place, Haryana officer Sanjeev has been given the responsibility of Nagal Dam. It is believed that this decision has been taken in view of the demand for additional water.

Routine checking or conflict call?

DIG of Rupnagar Range Harcharan Singh Bhullar called the situation as normal and called it "routine checking". He said that at present, water from the dam is being released according to the predetermined quantity. But the movement and political heat of the administration indicates that this water dispute may boil further on the coming days.
