Heatwave Tightens Grip: Delhi, UP, Bihar Brace for Rising Temperatures Today

According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear in the national capital on Monday. The maximum temperature may go above 40 degrees Celsius.

New Delhi: With the beginning of the third week of April, the heat has gradually started increasing in North India. The rains in the early days of the month has given relief to the people from the heat, but now the weather has started getting warm. The maximum temperature of the day is expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius.

What about the weather in Delhi?

According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear in the national capital on Monday. The maximum temperature may go above 40 degrees Celsius. 

The weather in Delhi is expected to be mostly clear from April 13 to 18. The maximum temperature will be around 35 to 41 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be between 19 and 25 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy skies are possible on April 16 and 17, but rain is not expected.

How will the weather be in Uttar Pradesh?

Dry weather is expected across most parts of Uttar Pradesh from April 13 to 18. Strong surface winds with speeds of 25-40 km/h are possible in some areas, especially western Uttar Pradesh, on April 13. After this, the weather will remain clear and dry throughout the week. No specific warnings have been issued.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan?

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the weather in Rajasthan is expected to remain dry for the next week. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to increase by approximately 3 to 5 degrees Celsius over the next 4-5 days.

Will it rain in Karnataka?

The India Meteorological Department issued a press release stating that light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds of up to 30 km/h is expected in  Karnataka on April 15 and 16. Lightning is expected in Kerala on April 13. Coastal Karnataka and South Karnataka are also expected to experience similar weather conditions from April 13 to 16.

What about hilly areas?

Meanwhile, isolated light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is possible in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh between April 13 and 18. Similar weather is expected in Himachal Pradesh on April 17 and 18. Strong surface winds are expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and western Uttar Pradesh on April 14. Wind speeds are expected to reach 20-30 km/h.
