National News:  At Kelikunj Ashram in Vrindavan, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri met Saint Premanand Maharaj to seek blessings and inquire about his health. The interaction was filled with humility and reverence as Shastri bowed before Maharaj. When asked about his health, Maharaj replied that while the body suffers, the heart always speaks with strength. Shastri called it a divine play of great saints, adding that meeting Maharaj brought him inner peace and joy. This moment set the tone for a deeper spiritual discussion.

Discussion on Sanatan unity padyatra

During the meeting, Maharaj asked Shastri about his stay in Vrindavan. Shastri replied that he would remain until the next day to attend a meeting about the Sanatan Unity Padyatra. The padyatra, planned from Delhi to Vrindavan, is aimed at spreading awareness of the eternal values of Sanatan Dharma. Maharaj welcomed this effort and described Sanatan as the foundation of existence, like the sky, air, sun, and earth. Without Sanatan, he said, life itself has no meaning.

Sanatan as eternal foundation

Premanand Maharaj explained that Sanatan is not created by any individual but is self-born, just like the Vedas. It is the eternal truth that sustains the universe. He added that there is no power without Sanatan, as it is the essence of life. Whether in the smallest breath or the vast expanse of the sky, Sanatan lives everywhere. Connecting with Sanatan, he said, is not a choice but an inevitable return to truth. His words underlined the unbroken continuity of this path.

The essence of spiritual life

Maharaj further stressed that Brahma Swaroop is Sanatan, and the Vedas express its eternal wisdom. He said that every being, knowingly or unknowingly, lives within Sanatan’s embrace. For him, this truth is not a teaching but a lived reality that sustains the body, mind, and soul. His message was clear: those who recognize this eternal connection gain strength and peace. It was a reminder that Sanatan Dharma is not just a faith, but the very rhythm of existence.

The role of saints in removing illusion

Shastri shared how in Mumbai he once felt caught in a web of illusion. Maharaj responded that saints descend into such illusions only to free others from them. He told Shastri that he is an associate of God, chosen to guide others out of Maya. Maharaj explained that illusion cannot be broken by knowledge or science alone, but through surrender to God’s name and divine qualities. He highlighted that chanting the name of God is the true path to liberation.

Power of devotion over illusion

Premanand Maharaj explained that Maya itself is a servant of God. The only way to overcome its grip is to embrace devotion fully. He stressed that saints embody this mission by lifting others from darkness into light. Shastri humbly accepted this teaching and acknowledged that it is devotion that keeps faith alive. Their exchange revealed a powerful balance between personal experience and timeless wisdom. For both saints, Sanatan unity meant freeing souls from illusion and guiding them to truth.

Shastri’s gratitude and shared vision

The meeting ended with Shastri offering gratitude to Maharaj. He said that just Maharaj’s blessings were enough to give him strength. Remembering his Dada Guru Nirmoh Akhara Keshav Ji, Shastri said that the grace he received in his final moments still guides him today. He prayed that his intellect would remain strong under Maharaj’s blessings. The meeting concluded with warmth, devotion, and a shared message for unity through Sanatan Dharma, reminding all of the eternal path’s strength.
