New Delhi: The weather of the entire country has suddenly changed. People in South India are waiting for the monsoon and it is just about to arrive. At the same time, there is a fear of storms, rain and hail in many states of North, East and Central India. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in 17 states including Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand on Wednesday.
Strong winds of 50 to 80 kilometres per hour may occur in many states. Along with this, clouds will thunder, there will be lightning and hail may also fall in many places. The weather is changing so rapidly due to western disturbances and cyclonic winds.
The Meteorological Department says that monsoon will reach Kerala any time now. After that it will gradually move towards other states. As soon as monsoon arrives, heavy rain will start in many places.
Delhi and surrounding areas will remain cloudy throughout the day today. There may be a dust storm in the afternoon or evening and light drizzle may also occur. The wind will blow at a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour.
There are chances of light rain with strong thunder and lightning in many districts of UP. Heat will still bother the eastern districts. Dusty wind will also blow in some areas.
Hail may fall, and heavy rain and dust storms may occur in many districts of Rajasthan. Wind speed can go up to 70 kilometers per hour. Therefore, Orange Alert has been given.
The temperature may drop by 2 to 4 degrees due to storm and rain in both the states. There will be light to moderate rain and thunder.
It has been raining continuously in many districts of Rajasthan for the last three days. Three people died in accidents caused by storm and rain in Jaisalmer and Barmer. In Barmer, two children lost their lives when the wall of a kutcha house collapsed.
