National News: The coronavirus has once again become a cause of concern in the country. In many states, including Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka, COVID-19 cases are increasing rapidly. According to the latest report of the Ministry of Health, 312 active cases have been reported in India at present, which has issued an alert by the government.

Preparations fast in Delhi; mask mandatory

23 new cases were reported in the capital, Delhi, till Thursday. After this, the Delhi government has come into action. Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh held a meeting with the officials and reviewed and instructed all government-private hospitals to stay on alert mode.

Wearing masks in hospitals has been made mandatory.

  • All hospitals have been ordered to check and monitor oxygen supply and drug stock checks.
  • The genome sequencing of positive samples will be done at Loknayak Hospital.
  • Dr. Singh said that there is no need to panic, the government is fully ready. Travel history of infected is also being investigated.

4 new cases found in Ghaziabad

  • In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, 4 patients have been found to be chronically positive.
  • An 18-year-old girl from Brij Vihar was found positive at Yashoda Hospital after a complaint of cough, fever, and cold.
  • At the same time, a couple from Vasundhara, who recently returned from Bengaluru, have also gotten infected.
  • The Health Department has increased vigilance, and monitoring has been intensified.

New variant is increasing concern

This time the new variant of Korona JN.1 and its sub-variants LF.7 and NB1.8 have surfaced.
Although there is no clear information about the seriousness of this variant or the ability to spread rapidly, the government is continuously monitoring it.

Increased cases in Haryana and Gujarat

There have been 5 new cases in Haryana in the last 48 hours. Beds have been reserved in PGI Rohtak and screening has been increased. Things are becoming serious in Gujarat too. In Ahmedabad, 20 new cases were reported in the previous day.

What should you do?

  • Wear masks in public places.
  • Avoid congestion.
  • If you have a cough, fever, or cold, do the test immediately.
  • Take special care of the elderly and children.
