National News: India is going to do a big aerial maneuvers in areas bordering Pakistan today (Wednesday). For this, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has already issued Notam (Notice to Air Mission). The exercise will be held in the southern border of India-Pakistan, especially in the desert areas and surrounding areas, in which state-of-the-art fighter aircraft such as Rafael, Mirage-20 and Sukhoi-30 will participate.

What is notam & why is it necessary?

Notam is an official warning system, which is released for pilots and air traffic control (ATC). Its aim is to ensure flight protection by giving information about military exercises, air obstacles or dangers in an area. It is prepared under the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and plays an important role in flight planning.

Mock drill organized in 295 districts across the country

Not only military exercises, but also the civil security system of the country has to go through a major examination today. On the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, a civil defense mock drill will be made in 295 districts of the country today to prevent air attack. In this mock drill, people will be trained in strategies such as security measures, blackout management and siren alert system under emergency situations.

After 54 years, such a large scale mock drill in the country

It is noteworthy that this is the first time in India after the Indo-Pak war of 1971 when mock drills are being organized on such a large scale. The tension between India and Pakistan has increased after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, it is a clear message from India that it is fully ready to counter every challenge.

Pakistan's restlessness increased

These security measures of India have caused panic in Pakistan. The activism of Indian fighter aircraft in border districts and mock drills have worried Pakistan. Experts believe that this practice is not only a demonstration of military power, but also a test of India's strategic awareness and civil preparations. Today is the day of performance of both India's aerial strength and civil security. While fighter aircraft in the sky will roar, ordinary citizens on the ground will be trained in preparations to deal with disaster. This step is considered a symbol of a new consciousness and self -reliance in the country's security policy.
