Security agencies are engaged in cracking down on the local network of FT module in Kashmir. Investigation so far has revealed that a total of 68 terrorists were killed in 2024, out of which 42 were foreigners. Most of the terrorists are FT, that is, they have infiltrated from Pakistan to the valley. These terrorists were either killed during infiltration on the Line of Control (LoC) or were killed in the action of security forces inside Kashmir. The highest number of foreign terrorists were killed in Baramulla district of North Kashmir, 14 terrorists were killed in 9 encounters.

Pakistan's Proxy War Escalates in Kashmir

In 2021, 125 local youths became terrorists. In 2022, this number decreased to 100, in 2023 this number decreased to 22 and in 2024 only 7 youths became terrorists. Now the situation is such that the number of local terrorists active in Kashmir has come down to less than 10. Pakistan has started sending its trained terrorists to fill this gap.
