Jaipur: BJP MLA Balmukundacharya and Congress MLA Amin Kaggi came face to face regarding the construction of the roof of the tomb in Jaipur. There was an uproar on the spot between supporters of both the parties. In this case, Amin Kaggi has filed a police complaint against Balmukundacharya.
This dispute started over a tomb located near Chandpol Circle. Some people of the Muslim community were preparing to put a roof on the tomb and give it the form of a Dargah.
On receiving information about the construction work, BJP MLA Balmukundacharya reached the spot with his supporters. He stopped the construction work immediately.
Balmukundacharya called the Municipal Corporation and police officials to the spot, terming the roofing over the tomb as 'land jihad.'
Within some time, Congress MLA Amin Kaggi also reached the spot with his supporters. After this a heated debate and altercation started between the two MLAs.
After some time, BJP MLA Balmukundacharya left from there. The situation was controlled in the presence of police and administration.
Amin Kagzi said that he had gotten Rs 20 lakh sanctioned from the MLA fund. According to him, the necessary government approval and municipal permission for the construction had already been taken.
Additional Superintendent of Police Bajrang Singh said that the Municipal Corporation had issued an order regarding the construction of the roof. The entire matter is being reviewed and a decision will be taken based on the facts.
Jaipur North's Additional DCP Bajrang Singh Shekhawat said that the Municipal Corporation had earlier issued the permit. Later, when objections regarding the rules were raised, the work was stopped after talks.
According to the police, the Municipal Corporation has canceled the permission given. At present there is peace in the area and the situation is under control.
