Jhansi Horror: Girlfriend Killed, Body Burnt and Stuffed in Box, Taxi Exposes Crime

Jhansi: A horrific murder case has come to light in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, which shocked even the police. A retired railwayman, after killing his girlfriend, kept her body hidden in his room for several days. When the stench spread, he burnt the body and tried to put the remains in a box and dispose of them in a taxi, but due to the alertness of the driver, the whole matter came to light.

How did the matter come to light?

On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, a strong smell started emanating from a taxi parked near Minerva intersection. The taxi driver suspected that something was wrong inside the box. Without any delay he dialed 112 and informed the police.

What appeared when the box was opened?

When the police opened the blue box, they found burnt human organs, bone fragments, coal and water inside it. The initial investigation made it clear that it was the body of a woman, which an attempt was made to burn.

How to reach Box Taxi?

The taxi driver said that this box was kept by a person living near Lahar village. He said that the box had to be taken to Minerva Crossroads. The accused followed the taxi on a bike but suddenly disappeared somewhere on the way.

What was the reason behind the murder?

Police investigation revealed that the accused Ram Singh Parihar is retired from Railways. The deceased was in a relationship with him and lived in a separate rented room. The woman was continuously demanding money from him, due to which the accused was under pressure and felt trapped.

When and where was the murder committed?

According to the investigation, on January 7, the accused called the woman to his room in Lahar village. There he murdered her. After this the body was kept hidden in the same room.

How was the conspiracy to burn the dead body hatched?

When the room started smelling bad, the accused asked for wood and a big box from his son. The son admitted during interrogation that he had brought the goods. The dead body was burnt inside the room on the night of 16 and 17 January.

How did the attempt to dispose of the remains go?

Burnt pieces of the dead body, bones, ashes and water were filled in the box. After this the accused hired a taxi and kept the box. The plan was to throw the box in a deserted place, but that did not succeed.

In which direction is the police investigating now?

Police said that preliminary identification of the body has been done, but DNA test will be conducted. Two people, including the accused have been detained. Police say that the entire matter will be formally disclosed after interrogation.
