National News: Surrey, Canada, has once again seen gunshots fired at Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Café. This is the second time in a month the café has been attacked. Luckily, no one was hurt, but the incident has created fear. Police believe the aim was not to kill but to threaten the comedian.
Just like the previous incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi group has taken responsibility. This alliance includes names like Goldy Dhillon, Ankit Bandhu Sherewala, Jitendra Gogi Mann Group, Kala Rana, Arzu Bishnoi, Hari Boxer, Shubham Lonkar, and Sahil Duhan Petwad.
Investigations by Indian security agencies suggest several possible reasons for Kapil being on the gang’s hit list.
1. Friendship with Salman Khan
Salman Khan has been a prime target for the Bishnoi gang since the blackbuck hunting case. They have threatened him several times, even firing at his home. Over the years, Kapil has become one of Salman’s close friends. Targeting Kapil could be a way to warn Salman’s other close associates.
2. Religious Comment Controversy
Recently, on Kapil’s comedy show, a participant made a joke involving religion. The Bishnoi gang, which is mainly based in Punjab, did not like this and started sending threats. Soon after, they carried out a firing at his café in Canada.
3. Extortion Plans
Kapil’s growing fame and wealth have put him in the spotlight. The gang may be planning to demand a large sum as “protection money,” just as they have done with Punjabi singers and actors in the past.
4. Trying to Spread Fear in Bollywood
After targeting Punjabi celebrities, the Bishnoi group may now be trying to create fear in Bollywood. By attacking Kapil, they could be attempting to gain control in Mumbai like the D-Company once did.
5. Baba Siddiqui Murder Connection
Gang member Shubham Lonkar, linked to the Baba Siddiqui murder case in Mumbai, was named in the post claiming responsibility for the café attack. Baba Siddiqui was close to Salman Khan, and his killing was believed to be a warning. Naming Lonkar in the threats to Kapil could be another attempt to intimidate Salman and his circle.
Sources say that after the first firing, Mumbai Police contacted Kapil, who appeared shaken. He already has police protection, and his security may be increased if needed.
With two attacks in a month, the situation points to a clear message from the Bishnoi gang—they want to scare Kapil Sharma and, through him, send a warning to others in Bollywood.
