National News: The soul of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) is uneasy these days. In a party that was founded on a movement and whose identity is associated with a strong leader like K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), the rebellious tone of his daughter and senior leader Kavitha is not only surprising but also shows that there is a deep stir under the surface.

Kavitha's open declaration: 'Devils' are active in the party

On Friday evening, when MLC Kavitha spoke to the media after returning from the US, her words were as sharp as a sword. She said, "KCR is God, but there are some devils standing around him who are hollowing out the party." This was not just an emotional reaction — it was a sign of an internal explosion.

Confidentiality broken, trust hurt

Kavitha also revealed that she had written a personal letter to KCR two weeks ago, sharing her views on the ground situation of the party. That letter got leaked — and that's when the matter became serious. Her question was, “If my letter, which is his daughter’s, can be made public, what will happen to the rest of the workers?”

The truth of Telangana or power struggle?

According to Kavitha, she toured many districts of the state and expressed what she heard from the people. But the manner in which her statement was suppressed shows that political tug of war has now become more dominant than ideology in BRS. Is this just disagreement, or is a new power center emerging within the party which considers Kavitha's words dangerous?

KCR's silence: strategy or compulsion?

So far, KCR has neither made any public statement on this issue nor has he reacted to Kavitha's comments. The question is whether he really wants to calm the storm in the party, or is he waiting for the equation to change with time? His silence is making the loyal workers of BRS restless.

What's next? Is BRS weak from within or on the verge of change?

Kavitha's outspokenness proves that the BRS can no longer be run by one person's thinking. If the party wants to remain relevant in the future, it must identify the 'devils' within — otherwise the public's trust will break, and the party, which was once the voice of the people, will be reduced to just another closed-door institution.
