National News:A major accident was averted at Lucknow Airport on Saturday morning. The IndiGo flight to Delhi had gained full pace on the 6E2111 runway but suddenly stopped just before the takeoff. The aircraft had 171 passengers and 6 crew members, including Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav.
The aircraft was running fast on the runway, but the takeoff was not possible. The pilot immediately applied the emergency brake and stopped the aircraft before the last part of the runway. Aviation officials appreciated the decision and said that the understanding of the pilot postponed a large tragedy.
Suddenly, there was fear and nervousness among the passengers. Many people continued to move in their seats despite the seat belt. One passenger said, "That moment was scary; it felt as if the plane would go out of the runway. But the pilot stopped the aircraft in time." All are safe, including MP Dimple Yadav. The relief in the incident is that Dimple Yadav and all other passengers are safe. No one was injured.
Immediately after the incident, the airport and airline staff became active. All the passengers were sent to Delhi by a new flight. DGCA has started investigating this incident. The initial estimate is that the takeoff could not take place due to a technical fault in the aircraft.
This incident at Lucknow airport shows how important the pilot's understanding and experience are. If the decision was not taken on time, this accident could have become bigger. The safety of all the passengers made it clear that a big tragedy can be avoided with the right decisions and training.
