National News:The death of teacher Manisha in Haryana has been widely discussed across the country. Ten days after her passing, her funeral was held on Thursday morning in her village, Dhani Laxman. Around 8 a.m., her younger brother lit the funeral pyre. Many questions about her death remain unanswered.
Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapoor said in a press conference in Bhiwani that the police have closed their investigation. Now, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will take over the case. All the reports and evidence collected by the police are being prepared to be handed to the CBI.
The district administration has also lifted the restrictions on internet services in Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri, restoring normal services.
A two-member CBI team is expected to visit Bhiwani on Friday. Their first task will be to meet the local police and collect all case details, including post-mortem reports and other important information. The case will then be sent to the CBI headquarters in Panchkula for further investigation.
The family of Manisha had requested a thorough investigation. Her body was examined three times. Reports from the Bhiwani government hospital and Rohtak PGI confirmed that she died from poison. These reports ruled out any sexual assault. The AIIMS report from Delhi is still pending and is expected after August 24.
Even after multiple investigations, the exact reason behind Manisha’s death is unclear. Poison has been confirmed as the cause, but it is not yet known if it was suicide, forced poisoning, or something else. The CBI will now look into all details to find the truth.
Manisha’s death has shocked her village and raised concerns across Haryana about women’s safety and justice. People are now waiting for the CBI to complete a fair and quick investigation.
