National News: Traffic pressure between Delhi and Gurugram is increasing day by day, especially on major routes. In such a situation, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has presented a plan to build an elevated corridor from AIIMS to the airport, which will not only solve the traffic problem, but will also help save life in emergency situations. This project will completely change the experience of traveling in Delhi and its surrounding areas.
The plan of this elevated corridor was prepared by the PWD (Public Works Department) about 11 years ago, but it had to be stuck due to various administrative hurdles and lack of political consent. Now NHAI has taken it into its hand, which is moving this project in a new passion and direction. The project aims to not only connect the airport and AIIMS, but also to connect it to the southern regions of Delhi and nearby cities.
Route from AIIMS to airport in the first phase, the elevated corridor will be constructed from AIIMS to the airport, which will be about 8 kilometers in length. This corridor will be constructed up to Mahipalpur bypass, which will give passengers a way to reach the airport without any hindrance. After the project, there are plans to expand it from Mahipalpur to Gurugram-Faridabad Road, which will also make this area accessible for smooth and fast journey.
Whenever a serious patient is airlifted or organs are transplanted, there is often a need to build a green corridor, which is a temporary arrangement to prevent traffic. The construction of the elevated corridor will provide a permanent solution to this problem. It will now be more effective and faster to reach the patients and organs to the hospital without any obstruction.
Earlier the responsibility of this project was entrusted to PWD, but the plan was stuck due to problems related to railway land and lack of coordination between the central and state governments. Now this project has gained momentum after assigning responsibility to NHAI. This time it is expected that the project will be completed soon, and through it the method of traffic in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas will completely change.
A positive change for both passenger and patients The objective of this elevated corridor is not only to make traffic easier, but it can prove to be a life saving. The time the time will be saved to the hospital to the hospital, the more time it will be important for the treatment of patients. Along with this, residents of Gurugram and Faridabad who travel at Delhi Airport will get rid of the problem of jam.
The NHAI has decided to assess the viability of the project by engaging professional firms to evaluate its utility. Based on this, a detail project report (DPR) will be prepared, and then it will be implemented. NHAI is expected to improve the traffic situation through this project, and it will be even easier to travel between Delhi-Gurugram.
This elevated corridor project will not only prove to be a milestone in the sector of traffic, but will also be an important step in terms of emergency services and safety of patients. This step of NHAI is a sign of a positive change in this direction, and traveling to Delhi and Gurugramis in the coming times will be more comfortable and safe than ever.
