Heatwave vs Snowfall: Delhi-NCR Sizzles While Himachal and Kashmir Turn Chilly

New Delhi: This time May itself showed the heat of June and July. In Delhi-NCR, UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana become deserted in the afternoon. It seems as if a curfew has been imposed. The one who is coming out is under compulsion. The weather department people are also raising their hands. They are saying do not expect any relief in the next few days. The mercury is about to cross 45 in many cities. On the other side the weather is ready to change in the mountains.

What is the situation in Delhi-NCR?

Even the people of Delhi have lost their sleep at night. It is raining heavily during the day, now even the nights are not passing peacefully. IMD has issued orange alert. Expect 44-45 degrees for sure in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram. The hot air in the afternoon feels as if someone has lit a fireplace in the balcony. Doctors are repeatedly saying that you should not leave the house, and if you do go out, keep drinking water by filling the bottle.  

Why are UP and Rajasthan burning the most?

The situation is worst in UP. The thermometer in Banda is desperate to touch 48. It has become difficult for humans to live in 48 degree. Yogi government has also accepted that the situation is out of control. There is red alert in 43 districts. This means there will be a deadly heat wave. The condition of Rajasthan is also the same. Hot winds in Bikaner-Jodhpur are drying up all the water in the body. The reason is clear, the sky is completely clear from above and hot winds are coming from the Pakistan-Rajasthan border. 

When will the weather change in the mountains?

On the other hand, the weather will change in the mountains. There will be clouds in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand. There is an alert of strong winds along with rain in many districts of Himachal. Snow flakes may also fall at higher altitudes. There is relief news for those going to Kullu-Manali, Shimla. All this is the effect of western disturbance.

Is there an advisory of storm in Bihar-Jharkhand?

The storm will blow at a speed of 60-70 in Bihar and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has clearly said that trees can be uprooted and lightning may fall. This is a pre-monsoon trailer. Rain will reduce the heat a bit, but storms can also cause damage. It is a matter of tension for the farmers.

Experts are saying that it is difficult to get relief right now. Heatstroke attacks will intensify. Cases of dehydration and heat stroke will increase. Stay away from lightning and trees in areas where there is storm and rain. The Meteorological Department has clearly said that the next week is going to be very heavy.
