National News: After successfully targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoJK), India is now intensifying efforts to strengthen its defense against drone threats. The Indian Army has begun testing several advanced technologies and security systems aimed at countering aerial attacks, ensuring preparedness for any future threat.

Pakistan Increased Drone Activity After Operation Sindoor

According to sources, the Indian Army recently conducted "Operation Sindoor," in which several terrorist bases across the border were destroyed. In response, Pakistan escalated drone activity along the Indian borders, attempting to mount pressure. However, India acted swiftly, monitoring the situation and bolstering its security measures along the front line. Akashteer Air Defense System Successfully

Thwarted Drone Attacks

India’s indigenous air defense system, “Akashteer,” played a crucial role in countering these drone threats. According to Lieutenant General VG Khandare (Retd), former Principal Advisor to the Ministry of Defence, the Indian Army used the Akashteer system to successfully neutralize multiple Pakistani drone incursions, effectively disrupting the enemy’s strategy.

Precision Strikes Without Crossing the Border

Lieutenant General Khandare also highlighted that during Operation Sindoor, neither the Indian Army nor the Air Force crossed the international border. Still, they managed to strike and destroy enemy targets effectively. This operation reflects India’s evolving capabilities in smart warfare, combining advanced technology with strategic precision.

Ground Forces Remain Indispensable

Despite the growing reliance on cutting-edge warfare technologies, General Khandare emphasized the continued importance of boots on the ground.
He stated, “You may launch an attack using drones or missiles, but ultimately, it’s the soldier on the ground who determines control over the territory.”

Subtle Dig at Pakistan, Clear Vision for India

Without directly naming Pakistan, General Khandare took a pointed jab, saying:

If you do not control the land, you are simply a defeated nation that promotes someone to the rank of Field Marshal.” He further added, “As we move towards a developed India, ensuring a secure India is equally vital.”

India’s Smart and Strategic Approach

India has embraced the modern challenge of drone warfare with clarity, competence, and confidence. With defense systems like Akashteer and operations like Sindoor, the country has demonstrated that it is not only capable of protecting its borders but also delivering calculated and strategic responses when necessary.
