National News: India has avenged the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, through a swift and precise military strike named Operation Sindoor. On the night of May 6 and 7, the Indian Armed Forces destroyed nine terrorist bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) within minutes. The operation was executed with speed, accuracy, and a clear message of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

On Sunday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) shared a five-minute video on social media platform X, revealing rare footage of the strikes and providing a dramatic glimpse into the operation.

Pahalgam Attack and High-Level Response

The video begins with a newspaper clipping about the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 tourists lost their lives. This tragic incident served as the immediate trigger for the operation. It then shows visuals from a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the chiefs of the three armed forces in attendance. The meeting appears to have been a key moment in deciding the retaliatory strike.

Precision Strike Across Borders

A black screen with the words "Operation Sindoor" marks the beginning of the military sequence in the video. The footage then highlights how the Indian Air Force carried out the attack on terrorist camps with “precision, speed, and resolve.”

The visuals show Indian fighter jets taking off, engaging targets, and hitting multiple locations in Pakistan and PoK. Explosions at the targeted sites confirm the destruction of the camps. According to the information released, all nine terrorist bases were neutralized within minutes of the operation’s commencement.

Historical Context: From 1971 to Pulwama

The video also connects Operation Sindoor to India’s long history of defending its sovereignty. It includes archival footage from the 1971 war with Pakistan, which led to the creation of Bangladesh, as well as scenes from the Kargil War of 1999. Additionally, the IAF video recalls the 2019 Balakot airstrikes conducted in response to the Pulwama terror attack, reinforcing India’s consistent stance of strong retaliation against cross-border terrorism.

Voiceover Highlights IAF’s Might

Throughout the video, a powerful voiceover describes the Indian Air Force as “huge, fearless, and accurate.” The narration says, “When the sky becomes dark and danger looms over the land or sea, a power emerges—the Indian Air Force.”

The tone and visuals together project the IAF as a force capable of striking deep into enemy territory while ensuring precise targeting to achieve strategic objectives.

Message to Adversaries

Operation Sindoor sends a clear signal to hostile forces that any attack on Indian soil will be met with decisive and immediate action. The rapid destruction of nine terrorist camps underscores India’s enhanced strike capabilities and its readiness to act without delay. The release of the video by the IAF also serves as a morale booster for the nation while simultaneously delivering a stern warning to those who seek to disrupt peace in the region.
