Operation Sindoor: India has taken a strong and precise step against terrorists. In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India attacked terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) under Operation Sindoor. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this attack and the army has described it as a measured action.
India gave full details of this operation in a press conference. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and two female military officers, Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh shared the details of this attack. Vikram Misri said that this attack was carried out on the instructions of Lashkar-e-Taiba, which operates from Pakistan. He accused Pakistan of giving shelter to terrorists and lying about terrorism on international forums.
Vikram Misri said that Pakistan had put in all its efforts to get the name of the terrorist organization 'The Resistance Force', which had taken responsibility for this attack, removed from the statement of the United Nations Security Council. He also said that Pakistan has deep ties with the terrorists, and this attack was planned at the instigation of Pakistan.
India had taken several tough steps against the Indus Water Treaty on 23 April, but Pakistan did not take any action against terrorism. In such a situation, India took this action to stop and respond to cross-border terrorist attacks. India made it clear that the aim of this action was to destroy the hideouts of terrorists, not to target the Pakistani army.
Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said that a total of 9 terrorist hideouts were targeted during the operation, which included terrorist camps located in PoK and Pakistan. Sofia Qureshi said that no civilian was harmed in the attacks, as this attack was carried out only on the hideouts of terrorists.
He also said that during the attack, a big terrorist camp was destroyed in Kotli Abbas, where about 1500 terrorists were trained. Apart from this, terrorist hideouts were also destroyed in Bahawalpur and Mahmoona Zoya in Pakistan's Punjab province. This camp is the place where terrorist Ajmal Kasab also received training.
All military officials made it clear that no Pakistani military installation was targeted in this operation and no civilian was harmed either. This operation was solely to target the terrorists. The Indian government considered this operation as its sovereign right and called it a necessary step against terrorism. Now it remains to be seen how Pakistan responds to this attack and whether it takes any concrete action against terrorism or not. This operation also made it clear that India has completely strengthened its policy against terrorist attacks originating from Pakistan and has taken every possible step to stop it.
