National News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, gave details of Operation Sindoor, a major military operation carried out in May. His speech came after strong discussions between the central government and the Opposition about what was achieved in the four-day conflict.
PM Modi said that after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Pakistan started giving nuclear threats, expecting India to step back. But India didn’t get scared. Instead, the Indian Army went ahead with a planned strike and targeted terror camps inside Pakistan on May 7, early in the morning.
“Even after their threats, we did what was necessary,” PM Modi said. He mentioned that the Indian Army responded within 22 minutes, showing Pakistan that such attacks wouldn’t be tolerated.
Modi also shared that Indian forces went deeper into Pakistan than ever before—even into areas that had never been touched in past wars. Important terror camps in Bahawalpur and Muridke were completely destroyed, showing India’s strength and planning.
The Prime Minister made it clear that Pakistan’s nuclear threat is no longer a shield. “They always tried to scare us by talking about nuclear weapons,” Modi said, “but we have now shown the world that India will no longer be blackmailed.”
He further explained that Indian defense technology played a major role in this operation. Indian forces carried out precise attacks, causing big damage to Pakistan’s air bases.
“Many of their air bases are still in bad shape—like being in an ICU,” Modi commented. He also said that India’s strong preparation over the past ten years helped prevent bigger losses.
Modi proudly spoke about how this mission also proved the success of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). India used its own drones, missiles, and weapons in the attack. He praised the coordination between the Army, Air Force, and Navy, saying it was this unity that made Operation Sindoor so effective.
