National News:The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 7 May 2025 shook the entire country. Soon after this attack, the Indian Army planned a major military action. 'Operation Sindoor' started as a retaliation, in which 9 terrorist bases present in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) were successfully destroyed.

Pakistan's panic after Indian response

Frustrated by India's surgical-level action, Pakistan sent more than 400 drones towards the Indian border in its response. But India's air defense system proved its mettle - one by one all the drones were shot down in the air. This technical success made the world realize India's defense capability.

Ceasefire announced on Saturday evening

After four consecutive days of military tension, India and Pakistan finally announced a ceasefire on Saturday evening. This decision is being linked to the mediation of the US President, although it has not been officially confirmed. This agreement was possible after talks between the DGMO (Director General of Army Operations) of both the countries.

PM Modi will address the nation

Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 8 pm tonight. This address will not be limited to military information, but can also present a blueprint of national morale, security strategy and future policy. Earlier, PM Modi has addressed the nation on important occasions like Pulwama attack, demonetization and success of Chandrayaan-3.

Stir in political corridors

Meanwhile, the opposition has raised many questions about the government's strategy. Congress MP Deepender Hooda praised the army's precise action, but at the same time demanded a special session of Parliament so that transparency could be brought on the entire incident. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also said that an all-party meeting was necessary before the ceasefire.

‘Operation Sindoor’ became a symbol of India's new military policy

This operation carried out by the army is not just being considered a counter attack, but a strategic message - that India will now "respond to the first attack with full preparation". This action can determine the direction of defense policy for the coming years.

Now the eyes of the country are on tonight at 8 o'clock

The eyes of the whole country are now fixed on the address of Prime Minister Modi. Will he share in-depth information about Operation Sindoor? Will there be any big announcement on the future policy with Pakistan?

The message at 8 o'clock in the night can be a sign of a historic turning point - not only for India, but for the whole of South Asia.
